Get a disabled parking placard
If you have a qualifying disability that limits your mobility, you can get a placard for parking in designated accessible spaces.
Need to know
- No fee (temporary placards have a small fee)
- Issued by the California Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV)
- Medical certification from a licensed health professional is required
What to do
- Download complete the REG 195 form
- Have your medical provider fill out the certification section
- Submit
- Online
- By mail to the DMV (address listed on the form)
- In person at a DMV office (appointments recommended)
