Your card is good for 250 uses, but you can reload it when they're up.

This is a good option for people who work part-time, and don't visit downtown daily. If you live or work downtown full-time, you may prefer a monthly parking card.

1. Buy your card

Visit the Parking office to buy a card.

• City Hall, 1400 Fifth Ave
• Open Tuesday through Thursday, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

You can pay by:

• Debit/credit card
• Cash
• Check payable to City of San Rafael

2. Park in the A Street or C Street garages

Hold your card in the front of the ticket area (or flashing light) at the garage entrance. Do not insert the card.

Park in any space. There are no designated spaces.

When you leave, go to the pay machine and hold your card up (don't insert). You'll see your fee (minus the 50% discount). Pay the fee with cash or a debit/credit card. Hold your card up again to register the payment. When you exit the garage, hold the card up again to the ticket area.

Your card is good for 250 uses.

After 250 uses, you can reload your card again by visiting our office.

Lost or broken cards

Get a replacement ($10 fee) at the Parking Services office.
