Pay a parking ticket
Pay your parking ticket on time to avoid further penalties. If you believe your ticket is a mistake, you can appeal.
Need to know
- Pay within 35 days to avoid late fee penalties
- If you haven't paid or appealed after 21 days, we send a courtesy notice to the car's registered owner
- You can pay online, by mail, or in person
What to do
You’ll need your citation (ticket) number, license plate number, or courtesy notice number.
Ways to pay
Online
- Go to the online citation processing center
- Find your ticket using the search (easiest is to use citation number)
- Follow the steps to pay with a credit or debit card
By mail
- Make a check or money order payable to City of San Rafael
- Include your ticket number on the check or money order
- Mail to City of San Rafael, Parking Services Division, 1400 Fifth Avenue San Rafael, CA 94901
In-person
- Bring cash, or a check or money order payable to the City of San Rafael
- Include your ticket number on the check or money order
- Visit Parking Services on the first floor of City Hall, at 1400 Fifth Avenue
- Hours: Tuesdays and Thursdays, 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
