Request a parking ticket hearing
If you do not agree with the results of your parking ticket appeal, you can request a review.
Need to know
- Request by the due date in your appeal results notice
- If you miss the deadline, penalties are added
- You need to pay for the ticket (or provide proof of inability to pay) while your appeal continues
Before you start
You can only request a hearing if your appeal was denied. You need to go through the appeal process first.
Steps
1. Pay the ticket
You need to pay for the ticket or provide proof of inability to pay while your appeal continues. If your appeal is approved, you will be reimbursed.
2. Request a hearing
Call (415) 458-5333 to make your request. You can ask for the hearing to be in-person, written, or by phone.
What's next
We will send you a letter with your scheduled date, time, and location. If you don't get the letter within 1 week, call 1 (800) 989-2058.
After your hearing, the hearing officer will make a decision and you’ll get the results by mail. If they decide in your favor, we will return your payment.
If you don’t agree with the decision, you can file a civil case with the Marin County Superior Court. There is a $25 filing fee. For information call (415) 444-7000.
