Request a parking ticket payment plan
If you aren’t able to pay your parking ticket fine, you may be eligible for a payment plan.
Need to know
- Costs
- Processing fee: $5
- Minimum monthly payment: $25
- Payment period: up to 18 months
- Late application fee: $5, with a one-time exception available
- Fee reduction is available
- Apply within 60 days of getting your ticket, or 10 days after a hearing decision (whichever is later)
- Eligibility
- Earn an income of 125% of the federal poverty level or below
- Or receive public benefits, like food stamps or Supplemental Security Income (SSI)
Before you start
You’ll need your parking ticket number, license plate number, or courtesy notice number.
You’ll also need one proof of financial hardship, like:
- Proof of income, like:
- A pay stub
- Other proof of earnings, like a bank statement
- Proof that you receive public benefits, like:
- A copy of the most recent verification of benefits form
- Notice of Action (Approval) letter
- Award letter
If you don’t earn an income or receive public benefits, provide a copy of your yearly Social Security earnings.
Steps
1. Start the online application
Visit the online citation processing center. Enter your license plate number to find your ticket.

- Select Indigent Payment Plan
2. Upload proof of financial hardship
During the online application, upload a copy of a document that shows financial hardship.
3. Submit your application
We will review and respond with a decision.
What's next
You’ll receive a decision by mail. If approved, make payments as scheduled.
Once you are enrolled, we’ll remove late fees and penalty assessments. You’ll have 18 months to pay off your balance and must make the minimum payment each month.
If you miss a monthly payment, your plan will be cancelled and penalties will be added back.
Returned payments for any reason, will result in the payment plan cancellation. One time extension of 45 calendar days from date the plan becomes delinquent. Reinstatement payment plan must be completed within the original 18 months.
